Alarm fault

The 310 alarm on our caravan became mute when arming & disarming it, it should have beeped once to arm & twice to disarm, but didn't! I dismantled it & identified the small speaker as goosed. Phoned Sargent to ask if they could sell me just the speaker but of course they could only offer me a fixed price repair of £55.

Inside the speaker is one of these so half an hour to remove & dismantle the alarm & speaker housing and a few minutes soldering it to the board and voila .... a working alarm for a quid.

Fixed price repairs can be a nice little earner ....

Just to be picky, it’s £1.99p 😀 But yes, with a little application and investigation, one can save quite a bit. Well done 👍

Edit, just noticed it’s a pack of two, my apologies.

Ah! But you didn't read the eBay ad properly .... £1.99 for a pack of 2 😉

I was surprised to find 2 in the packet too! I didn't read it properly either. 😂
