That's great.  When at Knaresborough we though we would just pop into the on-site eatery out of curiosity, but we kept going back.  Well beats doing dishes!

The only off-road route on the OS map is some 1.9 miles with 280 feet of up/down. Even as the crow flys it's 0.9 miles, so I can't see how even the most athletic is going to get there in 10 minutes, no matter how desperate they are for a pint.😂

Adults only does not attract me Brue but it does not put me off either. It should have a wider audience now perhaps. As for a restaurant I would just as soon that they used the space for a playground wink

Oh, thank you Ro, would be good to get the definitive version rather than either go on a news hunt, or join in speculation😁

I’m sure it will be well used, both this year pre make over, and once it’s been “Clubbed”.

It’s like many a long loved site, they do have to evolve, particularly the family run ones. It’s sad to see changes sometimes, but if it keeps them going, brings in new customers then all to the good. We spent 17 years happily returning to a perfect to us site in Cornwall, but the next generation of owners wanted to put changes in, expand, in fact they eventually sold up. But it’s still a lovely place, in a fabulous location. We have been back a couple of times, but our own preferences have changed towards something a bit different.😀
