M6 closed J32-J33

Perhaps a bit late but a reminder that the M6 is closed both directions from 9pm tonight till 5am monday morning

    That's a long stretch of motorway.

    A stretch of the M6 in Lancashire will be closed this weekend to allow a footbridge over the motorway to be demolished. The motorway will be closed in both directions between junction 32 at Broughton Interchange and junction 33 at Galgate from 9pm on Friday until 5am on Monday.

    Highways have said that the 'reserved weekends' were purely contingencies in case work over this weekend couldn't go ahead.

    As the work was finished ahead of schedule, these weekends are not needed and will not be going ahead.

    A spokesperson for Highways North West told LancsLive: "As we made clear last week (two news releases plus tweets) there will be no further closures.
