Great Savings Guide

Having read the fun and games with the Sainsbury Everyday Shopping offer I thought I would have a look and the Great Savings Guide 2020 offering to see if there was anything new.

Seeing the link to download the vouchers it struck me as a good idea to get some before the booklet is produced sometime in the summer (going by previous years).

Guess what?  The downloaded vouchers are for 2019.

Well done IT dept - good to see you are on the ball.

You're right that the graphic shows the 2019 edition, but the "download vouchers" button on the page only gives you the 2019 vouchers. As some of these attractions are year round, the 2020 vouchers should be downloadable now otherwise the offers may not be honoured by the attraction.

They are always late out. We tour all year round, so it would be nice to have them as early as possible, but it might be to do with securing deals and offers.

You would have thought that the relevant IT dept. could have spotted the change in year a little bit in advance, wouldn't you?

    Watendlath,

I've taken the liberty of REPORTING YOUR POST, purely in order to inform The Towers of this situation.

Doubt if it will achieve much but we can hope  wink

Talk about going round in circles: I clicked on "Offers" and found the Great Savings Guide to click on.  A new window appeared with, amongst other things:

Order a printed copy from our online shop - 2020 GUIDE COMING SOON

So, went to Shop, where I found: 2019 Great Savings Guide.  Clicked on it, just in case, and.............it took me to the log-in screen, even though I was already logged in.

It's a bit like the revamped Overseas Booking section, that's just as user-friendly - NOT.

In an ideal world it would be nice to have everything on demand when we want it! However might it not be the case that the organisations offering us discounts might not have actually informed the Club that they are willing to continue with the offers? Many of them are barely back at work after the Christmas shut down. From the Club point of view they want to collate the information in one go but as they are dependent of all these organisations confirming 2020 offers perhaps it's not as easy to get that out on the 1st January?

I would have expected that all the offers would be sorted out well in advance of the start of the year if the 2019 ones actually expired at the end of 2019, so the Christmas/New Year holiday period should not affect things.

I seem to recall that the paper guide is usually ready around Easter/March? But might be on line before then, you'd have to look back at previous threads on this subject. I think some people ordered early but still had to wait?

Some ordered early and still had to wait ages to get a copy, and if I remember correctly had to 're-order then.

But it's the Partners the Club works with who are probably not ready to confirm the offers for the coming year. I can't think of any reason why the Club would sit on the information for the sake of it.

As I started this thread may I be the first to say thank you for updating the downloadable vouchers.

All we need now is the hard copy booklet.

Just a heads up......we visited Jorvik today in York. Being a cheeky so and so, I asked if they did discount for Club members. Yes they do! All I did was flash my card, got nearly £4 per person off! 👍

Nothing to do with Sainsbury's but I have just found a fantastic saving method, Do not use Club sites! I have just looked at how much a pitch at Morton in Marsh would be in June, £30.10 a night to be squashed in with a hundred and eighty odd others, people ask why I only use C.L.s, 5 vans, reasonable prices, need I say more??
