Blast of heat
I would like to hear your opinion on if it's worth putting on your heating on a regular basis while parked up over the winter.
If so how often?
Does it actually help with damp
or
would it have to be on all of the time to be of benefit?

Personally I would not bother putting heating on over the winter. However, it is vital that your caravan is well ventilated. Ensure all the built in vents are clear, pull seat cushions away from walls and leave cupboard doors open. Every so often visit the caravan and leave the door and roof vent open for half an hour or so to give it an airing. You should be fine. If you get actual 'damp' then you may have a more serious problem than just a little mould forming. Checked my caravan yesterday; it was fine so just gave it an good airing and will visit again in a few weeks. Have booked it's service for end March so will be ready to go in Spring.

We use our caravan in any month of the year and really can't be bothered carting back and forward upholstery, bedding, clothing, towels, rugs, etc. So what we do is leave all doors open (26 of them), bed up and fridge/freezer on the "adjar" catch. Looks a right mess, of course.
I don't want to wear out the caravan heater unnecessarily so I have an oil-filled radiator I put in for winter months with thermostat set for three degrees. So even if I didn't manage to blow out all of the water in the pipes they should stay unfrozen.
