We are looking for the end of 2020 for a club site in the Midlands/South West/ Wales that people can recommend. We have a dog that is terrified of fireworks and we are looking for a site that may be reasonable quiet in that regard. Suggestions will be gratefully received.

Assuming you're looking for a club site, how about Cirencester Park? Can't say for sure that there wouldn't be fireworks but there are no houses nearby  - you could get in touch with the very helpful wardens to ask how things were this year.  It's a great site for dogs with a large, enclosed dog walk on site, the park a short stroll away where dogs can run free and the town has many dog friendly eateries.  Must be worth a look! smile

I agree Cirencester should be fairly fireworks free, but then is anywhere these day safe from fireworks, as they seem to be used for any"celebration" and have noted more places advertising fireworks for sale all yearfrown

A rural CL might be the best thing to consider. We've had several past New Years on different main club sites but all have had fireworks nearby.

Just what I was going to suggest, too.

A CL or maybe a commercial site sounds a better choice as  suspect most of the remoter club sites will be close at that time of year

If you’re in the other club Delamere forest is ideal. Nice site and surrounded by forest. We used it when we had a dog over guy fawkes night.

Can Recommend Exmoor House in Dulverton, lovely smallish site in heart of small Exmoor town, with restaurants and Pubs all within walking distance of the site, Hardstandings and some serviced pitches.Nice walks from the site, plenty of dog walking and all pubs etc., are dog friendly.

     No fireworks...that i saw anyway.
