Well done all those wardens. You’ve put up with our questions and requests, you’ve greeted us with smiles and you’ve rallied round when we’ve been in need.

Merry Christmas every one of you! 🎅🏻🎄

And a very Happy Christmas from us toon,  to all the wardens who have looked after us over the years. Special mention this year to the team at Putts Corner who did such a good job during a very wet, cold week in June, especially after having the exit barrier wiped out by a departing unit! smile

And a Merry Christmas from us too, especially the Warden at White Water Park for his assistance after I'd broken my arm and  was unable to drive.

And from me as well. We've not met a bad one yet. A lazy one yes but never a bad one. Not bad in 29+ years.

Special mention goes to the wardens at Borrowdale site this year, Mr &Mrs Fussey who failed to live up their name and made our stay even more enjoyable.

Whilst I appreciate that the site staff are at the Coal Face of the organisation, so to speak, I would also extend those thanks to all Club staff much of whose work probably goes unnoticed because we have little day to day contact with them but the Club wouldn't run without them.

I did try and post while we were away but an 'iffy' phone signal seems to have prevented it.

A special mention for the wardens at Sandringham who certainly went that 'extra mile' to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible.  They had clearly spent hours decorating the site with lights and the whole place had a wonderful festive atmosphere, thanks to their efforts.

Even the drinks and nibbles on Christmas Eve were way beyond what one normally sees and how long it must have taken them to prepare what was a very professional buffet is anyone's guess - absolutely brilliant and it had the effect of bringing everyone together.

"Well done" and thank you, Sandringham Wardens - have a Happy New Year!

Thanks to all the Wardens we've met, particularly the gent at Exmoor House Club site who helped us when we had a nasty water leak in our Van. 99.9% of the wardens we have had dealings with have been fab and a credit to our club
