They don't expect much for their £12.87 an hour zero hour contract. I think that whoever typed that lot out must've swallowed a dictionary ..... lots of words to say not very much.

this role will involve heavy manual handling due to the movement of caravans.

And there was me thinking that the courses taught vehicle manoevering so that one did not need to do manual handling . . !

Why not? It’s not as if it’s someone advertising for personal gain. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It may be interesting that the club has outsourced this to a local FE college rather than have it's own staff, is this a new development or has always been the case?

As for the job description it is a standard FE instructor role one, the club will have prepared the course and the instructor just delivers it, just like any other instructor in a vocational area. The post of 'instructor' was (maybe still is) a contentious one in FE land.

The Club have used the FE college at Evesham for years for this course

    OK thanks for the reply.

I wonder if prospective applicants have to be members?

Sounds a nice little job for someone suitably qualified who doesn't want to commit to full time work. Most people interested in the job will understand the fact that the work will ebb and flow and I imagine the Club would work with the successful applicant to plan the courses to suit both parties. So whilst it is essentially a zero hours contract it's unlikely to that the candidate won't know from day to day what is happening.

Some years ago I took a vehicle handling and manoevering course at Ruthin College run by people on behalf of the club so only carrying on as usual.
