For those of you interested in Steam Locomotives the Flying Scotsman is running on the East Lancs Railway, which passes Burrs Country Park CMC site.

The running dates are 8, 9, and 10th of May and 26th and 27th of September.

More dates are to be announced later. I will post them when I get them.

We are lucky we live a mile or so down the line from Bromsgrove station which lies at the foot of the infamous Lickey Incline and from time to time they run steam trains of course complete with bankers up there, its great to see the engines working really hard. In the video you will see the Banker dropping off at Blackwell ready to be switched over to the downline

Even today some freight trains need the assistance of a banker to climb the "Drag"

    Great video!👍

I got off a train late one evening at Doncaster station, and could hear a weird noise. Once my departing train had gone, all was revealed.......Tornado, looking very dragon like in the dark, wonderful!😁

Thanks JV. We have unfinished business with Flying Scotsman. I bought my OH a ticket for a footplate visit a couple of years ago, but sadly he was too ill to go, so we had to cancel.

We are off to York after Xmas, primarily to spend a day at NRM and see how Sir Nigel is coming along. Always a good day out.

    Will check out those dates👍
