I have been very happy with site wifi. You causese the CMC website and the forum without buying wifi if you want to try before you buy.

Thanks for that, I've just found the details in the club handbook! I might give it a miss, probably not strong enough signal for my needs

It’s not designed for streaming if that’s what you had in mind.

If you can get a reasonable 4G signal you will find it much better than Club WiFi. I measured the speeds achievable using 4G recently at Cherry Hinton and I was getting 20Mbs download and 10Mbs upload. We streamed TV the whole time we were there because Sat and terrestial TV is impossible unless you use that provided from the bollard by the Club.

Personally I think the WiFi is fairly good value for money. However, on our recent visit to Abbey Wood I came across an interesting  quirk. My annual subscription had run out but as we were only there for 3 days and wouldn't be going to a CAMC site again until February, I decided not to renew at that time but use my 4G. I naturally assumed I could use the free bit for CT. However, the network clearly recognised the pad and threw up a welcome back banner, followed by a renew your subscription, which I couldn't shift.😂 So I had to use 4G even for what should have been free.☹️

Did you tap the 'use without internet' button, Steve? That generally gets rid of the welcome/log in screen and connects straight through to the website.

Did try that TW but no joy. If I told it to forget the CC club Network and then reconnected that partially worked, but then as soon as I logged on so I could post,it recognised me again and assumed I wanted to rejoin. Just one of the little eccentricities with this site, I guess.
