"Wild" overnight location Carnoustie?

Hi, can anyone reccommend a spot for an off grid overnight stop near Carnoustie next week?
We're in our Talbot Express M/H and none of the CL's are close enough, there's a site in Barry Downs but it's awful and I'd rather not use it again.
I considered the Links Parade road by the station in town but Mrs is not keen on that plan.

There are websites which list wild camping spots. Have you tried an internet search?
Alternatively, you might find a site on UK Campsites.
