We have a leisure battery that has failed within a few months. In fact it as actually blown the fuse on two chargers and does not hold its charge. I have been in contact with the company in Halifax we bought it from but they say we have to return it for checking but they cant pick it up and i have got to post or get it back to them. I have no idea which mail company i can use to do this as none seem to want to take batteries. Live and learn we have and will never buy online a battery that we cant return ever again.  Advice please, thank you

I’m not sure there's much you can do without spending more than the cost of another battery.

One of life's lessons I guess. Hard luck.

I’m sorry for your issues selbs, it won’t help now but if you buy on line again I’d go thru a trusted facilitator like Amazon or EBay, they have systems in place to protect you & your purchases. I hope you get a solution👍🏻

It's a shame selbs isn't a member of a forum that works a members' courier relay service. Items get passed from member to member to reach the final destination, and other members will offer a holding facility should direct meeting between transporting members not be possible.

Works well on a Land Rover forum I use as some odd shaped and unsendable items get moved about with ease.

agreed, i did buy on line (6 months ago) and battery was delivered by APC overnight. Was advised to keep the box as it has a special packed lining and all the warnings you need on the outside of the box, it is a Numax battery so i am not expecting any problems, sold by Royal Battery uk via Amazon.

Likewise with a Vauxhall forum I use .... but that has a PM facility, like most other forums, for it to work.

yup agree, only went with Numax because that was what was on my caravan 2008 model and it had been on since new and changed this year, new one been on 6 months and no problem thus far. I think my old battery would have been ok if i had not installed a new mover which stops working if voltage drops below a certain level, so for internal stuff like lights it worked ok. My policy is stick with what you know.

Selbs.  f you paid by credit card just get them involved.  Think you will find that the supplier will respond rapidly.

Must be lucky as I have a Numax battery, now 5 yrs old and no problems!

My Numax battery had a 3 year warranty it failed just before the end of the warranty, I contacted my dealer Salop Leisure Shrewsbury, they replaced it with no hesitation.

At nigh on 300 miles away, Salop Leisure is hardly local for me (and probably many others)!

So how would a business local to me obtain an item? They would order through the Internet, and add another layer of costs.
