Spiral - French Police Drama
The gritty French Police drama based in Paris started a new series last night on BBC4. It doesn't always show the most romantic side of the French capital!!! There are elements of the story that continues through from the previous series but the latest story centres around the killing of a police chief. Clearly the French justice system is different to our own and it is sometimes difficult to quite understand where and at what point the judiciary get involved.

Series 7 came to an end tonight, still available on catch up! Apparently series 8 is in production which will be interesting to see as several of the main characters through the years are either dead, retired or in prison!!! But there are enough of the main cast still around to recognise the continuity in the next series. I appreciate for many the idea of watching a drama with sub titles is not ideal but this series is worthwhile if you are in need of a good cop series!
