I think you will find that Commons Wood used to be a two couple site with a manager who in the past also sorted all the storage paper work, but is now run by one couple and the relief wardens use the single unit that used to be the assistants accommodation, hence there are the two park homes from about 20yrs ago
Ps hence the reason there are a lot of ex ccc staff now cc wardens
Pps also the ccc staff have to "rent"space if they want to also give their members a sevice of on site "shops"

See my post on Commons Wood staffing levels
Ps one of the problems that both clubs have on Jan closing or all year sites is getting staff to man them as I think both clubs warden contracts are for a Max 10months (some legal thing?)so maybe the cc with more open for longer periods have decided that by supplying accommodation helps with staff for sites

It could be that the site wardend have decided to stay on site instead of going home for their 6 days per month off
The storage is always busy at weekend's as more are now going to sites (as us) year round,as will be Ashridge Farm 400 +LVs although Commons Wood has 500+LAs in storage

Interestingly also that the price quoted for Grafham water (£61.40) sounds like it must have been peak with a service pitch for a couple? next years top peak prices for two nights are £55.40 on a non service pitch and £63.60 for a SP. There could have been more people of course just as the much cheaper Chichester site could have been off peak with fewer people? Difficult to compare prices without details of dates and people although they weren't meant to do that I imagine in that post? Going back to the OP I don't think the warden's accommodation plays much part in the running costs and/or of these prices?

Not quite as good, best price this trip was Moffat and Blackmore both £16.05. Dearest Brighton which I expected, about £22 I think.
EDIT, Brighton £22.50, Devises £18.75, Commons Wood £20
Have to say that as sites go we have liked Moffat, Blackmore and Devises more than Commons Wood. Brighton is big and very well looked after, just the approach to it and the town in general we were not keen on. Devises we would use again in better weather, has lots to offer.

When the working time directive came out a few years ago .the staff working for both clubs lost a lot of ( perks ) but carried on working with a pay cut .

Chichester sounds a bargain. Must investigate as it would make a good local venue. Costwise, having just been to C&CC's Chertsey site, I compared CAMC Henley as it is another site we've visited a couple of times around this time of year and the price was within a few pence of each other.

And maybe because it appears in the title of the thread - twice.
"C&MC prices V C&CC prices" That’s an invite for a comparison/match if ever I saw one😆
