Avtex Garmin sat nav

Hi,  At the Manchester show on Thursday I bought said satnav - the demo had 3 club site apps  on it - mine doesn't   So how do I get them?  I can get the club sites on my phone and laptop but not on the satnav ... what am I not doing? Thanks, (am not very tec minded)

    Hi, I bought the Avtex "Caravan Club" edition through the website. It is a Garmin Satnav but with the sites pre loaded. 

    If yours is from Avtex it should be the same.

    Turn it on, press "Where to?" and the icons for the Caravan club sites should appear along with other options too; including ACSI which we use a lot. If not get in touch with Avtex via their website to get them to sort it out. It could just be that the Satnav was not pre-loaded by Avtex in error?

    Have you tried updating the maps to see if they install during update.

    I ask this because I have the Avtex / Garmin Sat Nav and when I updated the maps about 3 months ago all the C&MC, ACSI and other features disappeared. I updated again yesterday as new maps were available and all the info that had disappeared was reinstalled.

    I've got the Caravan Club Edition and have done the recent map updates and all the C&MC, ACSI and other features disappeared.

    Not familiar with Garmin stuff, but sounds like you might need to download the ACSI & CMC POI files again. If it’s anything like TomTom  it’s quite straightforward, they’ll be instructions (online) telling you precisely what to do. Annoying though that you pay a premium for all that stuff, then it gets wiped without warning at first update!
