Hi

We have not used oor caravan since August this year. Got the caravan on pitch after being stored outdoors. Once the heating was turned on in the caravan we got lots of little beetles round some lights. What are they likely to be? What's the best way of getting rid of them?

They are likely to be cold! Give them some heat any they will come.

Could be anything, carpet beetles are common. Get a flea (or a general insecticide) spray for home furnishings from the pet store and blitz the whole van whilst retreating towards the door. Should sort them out!

    Weevils?

We ended up with loads of them in our kitchen having stowed away in rabbit food. They made a satisfying crunch when squashed! 🙄

They are considered quite tasty in some parts of the world. Free food?

I`ve found beetle/cockroach like insects live in the van from a trip to the South of France in September the following April!

Cluster flies are quite a common occurrence in vans. they just look for somewhere to hibernate in those hidden nooks and crannies. Warm the habitation area up and out they come. Great when you are driving along having just left storage!undecided
