    Why not just plug an extension reel into the house and " cut out the middle van " .😀😀.

    . . . because I would have to check a door jam to pass out a cable which in any case would not have a water protected socket on the end. There is already a big cable out to the caravan - so I use it.

    We have 6 internal sockets in our Challenger 480 (two in the kitchen, two above the unit opposite the kitchen + TV point, two in the front behind the chest + a TV point), one outside socket that we’ve never used.  That’s more than enough for our requirements.
