Seasonal/longer term pitches

Hi everyone,

We have just sold our house in Spain as we missed the UK (Wales) greatly. We have bought a touring caravan to stay in while we are property searching, and will of course be keeping hold of it after we purchase our forever home.

We are looking for sites to stay in the Cheshire area that offer longer period stays. We have considered a seasonal pitch on a park?

Can anyone shed some light on staying for longer periods (months at a time).

We would welcome any information.

Regards Helen & Ray :-)

In the main, touring caravan sites are subject to planning restrictions of a maximum continuous stay of 28 days, after which you must vacate for up to 4 days. Club sites are restricted to 21 days (touring or seasonal). CL's allow 28 days. You may find a commercial site willing to "bend" the rules but most likely you will have to leave the site for a few days each month. If you can get a seasonal pitch the caravan may stay on the pitch while you vacate.

I don't know what the CC have but you could try the Royal Vale site near Holmes Chapel. They definitely had seasonals. I see it is advertised on the front webpage  https://www.royalvale.co.uk/

I might do the same David but with winter nearly here I would wish to have electric.
