I was surprised that no written directions were supplied with the booking documents, just a vague arrow on the map.  Does anyone have a bit more info on where exactly the entrance to the site is?

thanks

I think you would be OK just head for the NEC and follow the signs to the campsite once in the complex. It' usually a bit further out than the car parks used for day visitors. Does the map give an indication of what car park is being used? If it does you could check the details online.

I have to say that I was disgusted with the lack of direction to the site. I had, through Roadpro, been booked in for 7 nights. The worst bit of the whole show was finding my way to the camp site! It just wasn’t signed well enough. It is usually on the electronic signs on the NEC but not this time- just my luck. Having ended up on a car park for exhibitors and then extracting myself and the van with some nifty manoeuvring- I then ended up in a couple of dead ends and had to turn around - not easy with the van! - after 45 mins I finally arrived to see the friendly faces of the CAMC marshals. Can we do better in February please CAMC- it really isn’t that difficult to sign in a place like the NEC- and there were dozen of complaints!!

I'm surprised at that, Merve.  If an experienced hand like yourself has problems there's little hope for an easy run in for a First Timer. Have you made an official Complaint  --  if not I can always 'REPORT' your post to bring it to the attention of The E . G . Towers if you so desire.

Don't forget they only have Three Months till the February show to get it sorted  wink

Tend to agree about signage. If you approached the NEC site direct via M42 J6, all you could do was follow signs to north car parks and trust in some assistance from NEC staff. However, approaching via the airport route on Bickenhill Lane/Parkway, which is effectively the NEC orbital, would have provided some signage once you reached the northern end where many of the hotels are located, but prior to that absolutely nothing. Definitely could have been better, but it was exactly the same when I visited a couple of years ago.
