Caravan alarm

I've a Bailey Pegasus 524 and it seems the alarm has failed.

The alarm is set by a remote control and it still "beeps" when set or disarmed. There are no LEDS lit on the alarm sensor so I suspect that the sensor has failed or there is a loose wire somewhere..

Has anyone had this type of problem and if you had how did you fix it?

Many thanks

Bob D.

If it's a Sargent 310 alarm then the interior sensor connects to the actual alarm box via phone type lead.

I can only say that I'm glad they don't make car alarms .... 🙄

Look up on web how to remove PIR so you can check connections, or try a re-boot i.e. switching off alarm and on again (switch in Sargeant control box)

I spoke to a very helpful guy at Bailey. He said the first thing to do is change batteries. Tomorrow I'll change batteries in the remotes, the PIR sensor and the one in the control box and see how I get on. I've read that the control box batteries are rather expensive but there are cheap alternatives if you look around. I must admit I thought the PIR sensor was caravan battery powered but it seems not. I suspect the PIR batteries are the problem. I'll post how I get on.
