Winter storage of caravan
I use a cassoa storage site for winter storage and do not put a cover on my caravan. i keep the battery on the van and it remains fine throughout the winter, being topped up with the solar panel.
The problem I seem to get is large ponds of water on the flat roof. I am not alone with this and have heard it is best to park up with the van sloping slightly from front to rear, to allow the water to run off.
Would parking it over winter with a slope instead of the normal flat level position, cause stresses in any way to the caravan.

i always store mine with the front down for this very reason and never had a problem.

Not a problem, we always have stored nose up in storage with our caravans ,and makes hitching up easier as well, back under coupling with reverse camera, remove hitch lock wind steadies up remove wheel lock wind coupling on to hook connect cables and off,

I put mine nose down. if it was nose up there would be puddleing on the roof due to the shape of the back panel molding.

Nose up? Surely flat roof slopes down to the front for that very reason so why work against the natural design? We park for the winter with the nose even further down. Chock the wheels and leave brake off to avoid it seizing on.

Slightly different from standing water which by the way I always leave my nose very high for it all to run off, my problem which I have never done before is to get the van ready for storage (outside no cover) and left the master switch on. Went there today and although I have a 100watt solar panel battery was completely flat, I thought with the panel it would still have put juice into the battery.

Same with our MH, PP. In cloudy weather and with very little sunlight able to reach it, it just doesn’t charge the battery.
