I think the newer refurbishments have them, no you can't see a lake but I remember the Quiet site as not being that good for lake views. or even any views?

    This is a view

CAMC site fees are the highest we've paid in decades in contrast to other site fees in the same period.

You didn't say the in contrast bit at first. But glad you find things so cheaper these days.

Yes indeed find sites that you can afford, or think are better value, why not?

Yet it is the ones getting it off their chest are the ones that don't (often) go to club sites, a extremely biased sample I would say.

It may well be a biased sample but if they are avoiding club sites because of price, it rather proves their point.

It merely proves the point that they are not prepared to pay club site charges CY .......... many are and do pay CC site fees as presumably they perceive a value to themselves

hmmm.....lots and lots of caravans and tons and tons gravel, i thought.....(Alice Richards would not have been happywink)....although that could be Krakatoa erupting in the background...undecided

'its over there between the ......'

btw, i didnt think you were rude in the previous post, but some are a bit delicate of constitution....

'price' threads (and there are many) always end up going the same way..

OP.....clubsites are blooming expensive these days

SOME....yes, you're right, we dont use them now

OTHERS...no theyre not, but if you think so, go elsewhere

while a personal choice to pay or not for some, for others that choice isnt there as the price has moved beyond their reach....they can't afford club sites any more...

but to actually mention sites as being 'expensive' is seen as criticism of the club which triggers the defensive reaction we see in each of these threads, especially from some who are a bit delicate of constitution.wink

Is it being defensive? Maybe? However I consider that the type of sites that I prefer are expensive whether CC or comercial. Generally, although my use of CC sites is by no means exclusive they do, generally, better meet my preferences in a number of ways.

Why the need to keep calling some folk “a bit delicate of constitution” just because they state their views, BB?

I could just as easily say some are obtuse in not fully appreciating what is on offer but I wouldn’t because that would be rude even if I littered it with smileys.

At The Quiet Site, a very similar view. Car-park, gravel, hill, but with a glimpse of water in between. (Not the best picture as taken for a different purpose.)

Damn hills always getting into the views. As we say in Scotland, "What can you see when you get to the top of that hill?    Just another hill!"

[ Don't go away! I'll add the picture later as I don't have any time right now to faff about making a copy of it under 500kB to suit the rules ]

you missed the point....(despite adding the bit at the end about the smileyswink)....i wasnt referring to those who state different views....

however, some seem to be 'a bit delicate of constitution' as they see rudeness (where non exists) in far too many posts on CT...i sometimes wonder how they survive in the real world...if they are so easily offended.

if you wish, you may feel free to say that some are 'obtuse in not appreciating whats on offer'....but if you said it to me, i wouldn't suggest you had been rude, merely discussing the subject.

and rudeness is subjective....some (those with a delicate constitution, perhaps) have a far lesser rudeness threashold than others.

if i wanted to be rude, there would be little doubt, but i am not rude on CT, that would be a breach of the T/C as you would no doubt point out.

but its strange that ive only seen three posters on CT ever complain about others being rude (or hurt/upset/insulted etc).

no prizes for guessing who the other two arewink (smiley added to match yours)

sadly TW I think it is because it is far easier to have a go at a poster than argue rationally at the points that they make?

Think I've been  on CT for 6/7 years and to be honest I've heard it all before, not once but numerous times and to be honest its like a stuck record. If you don't want to pay for what the club offers there are other options available

We go where we want to and pay the price thats ask.  If we don't like it we go somewhere else.  Last weekend we stayed at the clubs Rookesbury Park and it was just perfect for us
