I have a 2015 Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer. I am in the process of purchasing a 2019 Swift Challenger. Can anyone tell me if I will need the VLM board from Sergeant fitted to the caravan to operate the lights correctly. The supplying dealer seems to think the car will be ok. ?

My 2011 Honda CR-V didn’t need anything for the Led lights on our Coachman

We would recommend you fit the VLM board as this will future proof the caravan if you change your tow car. The majority of Vehicle Specific wiring modules fitted to cars struggle with LED however there are a few which are ok.  A Honda would most likely have universal wiring which doesn't need that draw to work however an Insignia should have VS wiring which then does need that draw.

I spoke with the tow bar fitter and he changed the relay in the car wiring so it works with LED road lights  without a problem.
