The Dutch and Brexit
It may just be me but we have been in France and Spain since Last Thursday and we have had several Dutch people approach us regarding Brexit. They have been quite insulting to the UK and asking us what are we going to do now about travelling to Europe.
Moderator Comment - I am sure people both here and in Europe will have their views on Brexit but for obvious reason it is nor something suitable for discussion on this forum as there is a risk that it could turn into a political discussion. So hopefully you will understand why this has been closed.

We've had that for a few years now, I just smile and say I don't do politics. However we will do as we've always done and travel where we want when we want. If you don't get into a discussion with them they can't insult us.
I don't think this thread will last long

So what? You don’t have to get drawn into a discussion. Let them think what they want.

We stayed on 2 Dutch sites last year for a week each time. We weren't insulted once and apart from us and a couple of Germans the rest in full sites were Dutch.
They are quite straightforward talkers so you may have misinterpreted their direct approach as an insult.
I remember being insulted by a few French people but that was well before the B word and you will always find one or two people of every nationality, our own included, who just hate a particular foreign country and their folk.
I assure you the Dutch, by and large, are friendly, warm and inquisitive people.
