Two strips of paving stones will probably be the easiest and cheapest.

Depends what the ground is like at present and if cultivated, and if so to what depth. Is it garden or lawn?

perhaps even lay a bed of hard-core and sand down first?

Have experienced paving slabs break when laid straight onto the soil and caravan rolled over the top of them.

Also bear in mind that the jockey wheel may be better served by having a solid base for it to roll over.

A good layer of hardcore underneath paving slabs otherwise the weight of the van will cause them to either sink or break.  Don't recommend gravel as it's not as easy to manoeuvre the van on.

     fill middle with pea gravel

That's what my son in law did and then found that the jockey wheel dug in.

    Slate shale works well
