Site searching

no idea if this is the right section for this but;

it would be so nice if there was an option to search for family friendly sites. There is an option for adults only but family only. The hours I spend trawling through searching for sites to keep finding out the cl’s are adult only. would be nice to also search for non hook up sites as well. For a family on one income we need to go to cheap off grid family friendly sites and to find those sites I have to look through every cl going.

Is there a reason behind not being able to have an extra search option? I feel the search options are certainly aimed at retired people who want hook up and facilities.

    If you check the CL section you’ll find a sticky thread of non-EHU sites.

    No idea why you should think it retired folk that want hook up and facilities ......... particularly facilities! Many retired folk on none facility sites. Really seems a strange observation

    The only way it would work eg not wanting AO sites is to have a system where the things you didn't want were eliminated but the present search works on tick box positive system so like the rest of us you'll just have to keep trawling. At least you can tick what you do want eg non ehu, open all year etc. smile

    Jimny, you could join the Non-EHU Facebook group and ask on there which ones are family friendly. Here's the link:-

    https://www.facebook.com/groups/CAMOGG/

    There's also a Non-EHU post with a map listing all those site, about 450 at the present time.

    surely the answer is to expand the tick box to include family friendly?

    Indeed, any other option as well.
