Flo Gas

There seems to be an ever increasing number of outlets who stock Flo Gas and their 6Kg bottles have the same fittings as Calor.
Does anybody use this gas ?

It fuels my central heating and hot water at home. It’s propane. Does that help?😀

Yes, and have done so for very many years, now I am delighted they handle the ex BP Gaslights which are by far my preferred option. Along with these they do the 6 and 11 kg steel propanes.
Availability is extensive though it might not be via camping sites, it often includes garden centres, B&M stores and builders merchants, plus their own depots. [B&M handle the Gaslights]
Check here if it is available where you might want it:

The reason I asked the original question was that in Lincolnshire recently I was offered a free 6Kg FloGas bottle and refills for £18.50.
I have been using gas from a supplier I found that was refilling Calor bottles for £11.95 but they have now been asked to stop. I don't know if it is illegal or just not recommended.

I have used for Flogas 20 years...Butane bottle though. However the 13kg one I have had and not changed for several years ran out. Went to the local dealer to be told £45+ vat. Nearly choked.
Reflects that since 2013 I’ve had a Safefill cylinder....and got used to have extremely cheap gas.

More often DD. I use about 6kg over a year. I carry two 3.9kg bottles and so I need a refill once or sometimes twice a year. If one runs empty I will replace on site. Not about to run about to get gas. If non available then next site will do me fine. Why faff about of site in my case?

MM. No it is the refill swap price. It is 13kg so sounds correct compared with calor
I used it for our outside BBQ but not used much for several years but have done a lot more this year. I’ve stopped the regulator and just going to use the Safefill now
