Sterling Eccles Sport Broken Tap
Hi everyone, Can you give me some advice please.
My caravan tap in the kitchen seems to of broken away from it's housing leaving it very wobbly.
I have been quoted over the telephone around £170 for a new assembly incl labour, does this sound about right, or is there something I can maybe to repair myself?
Thanks

As MollysMummy says, there is a nut under the worktop which seems to have come loose or has broken. Did the tap come loose suddenly or gradually? If possible either have a look underneath or have a feel if the nut is still there and can be tightens up. We had a problem where tap had to be changed (while away on the continent). I had to remove the basin to get proper access to the underside of the worktop to unscrew the nut on the tap to remove it. The job is straight forward but a bit more involved than one may first think.

Thanks, it was fine last time we used it, then when we arrived at our latest site, it was like that. A rubber washer has split/perished and come away. But a locking type nut makes sense, the only issue is...How do I get to it? Do I need to pull the fridge out?
