Club Magazine
Just received the latest edition of the magazine (no, obviously haven't read it! ) and noticed that the "SW" has been dropped from the date box on the cover. So is this the demise of the regional editions of the magazine? It would be good if so, I've got fed up of reading about sites in my own area! Anyone else spotted this?

No - just checked the August edition (near the bottom of the recycling pile admittedly! ) and it still appeared then.
Have to add that I only spotted it because the Great North Run, Durham & Northumberland were all mentioned on the cover!

Not received ours yet, but the August one certainly had the regional designation and content.
Just checked the online versions
August is the SE version with another 30 pages tacked on for all the other areas, making 149 in total.
September has no designation, no separate regional bits and is 126 pages in total.
Perhaps the regional section staff are on holiday.😂

Can't say I've ever noticed it being particularly regional in flavour, notwithstanding the 'SW' branding hitherto.

Most of us started out as caravanners, so it is hardly surprising that some use their Motorcaravans in that way, dont need a large vehicle to tow with, so can use a small runabout as everyday car. There is NO 'correct' way of doing things (as long as you are not breaking the law). So we stay for extended periods some times, and tour around other times, depends how we feel. We dont use awnings, except for our wind out, and have been known to wild camp, but usually its a site.

I would think that in the UK ,unless doing the now oversubscribed Scotland "numbered" tours, there is plenty of information available that gives the cc the way members "tour"or not in motor caravans and just noting on the many nights we use club sites the very few that are on tour

Except for the bit where your are wrong in intimating that altering the itinerary is dificult, which is easy via the cc booking system if changing ones plans, but not many brits tour over here ,as it seems happens in the near continent ,unless it is the overseas visitors to the UK who think this country is easy to see in 3 weeks
