Hebden Bridge CMC site
just a short recommendation for this wonderful site, ok no toilet block but if that fine by you this site is magical and only a short ride into the quirky Hebden Bridge.
The wardens are brilliant they have transformed this site into a garden we were here with Poppy she loved it have a look in the book or on line well worth visiting.

I agree I also think it's a nice little site. There is a bus service for those that don't want to take their vehicles off site although the walk down into Mytholmroyd is not too bad where there are more buses.
Have they finished the flood defence work in Mytholmroyd yet?
Some pictures of the site here

No not quite still a little traffic disruption but the wait is worth it .

I am not sure I would call it a large site with only 42 pitches? There must be reasons why the Club have not built a toilet block. It is a little bit remote from immediate habitation which might be the reason. Or perhaps the investment on such a small site would not be repaid, I don't really know. They have installed a few serviced pitches which might help those with certain disabilities. One advantage of the Club network is that it offers a wide choice of sites. There are some, including me, that wouldn't mind if there were a few more sites like Hebden Bridge as we are lucky that we can manage with our own facilities providing water and waste disposal plus electricity is available and of course they usually cheaper!

We thought it was a very attractive little site with imaginative landscaping. The only draw back was damaging our van roof nearby as the flood repair roadworks were quite disruptive and we missed the correct turning and had the mishap with the van doing this. Other than that it's a unique little site and we had the river as a pleasant back drop.

Modest sized and, for CAMC, reasonably priced. Certainly worth a punt. Even more so if you have a dog and like walking to all those reservoirs and your name is Tarantino.

Brue
When we left the site we turned right towards Halifax and found that a much better route, and more scenic, than going through the roadworks.

Yes we did that David, but we also decided to take the van to Hebden Bridge before we went to the site. So we trundled off, found a parking place, enjoyed a stroll around and had a nice lunch...and then made the wrong turning as we approached the roadworks and site.
