You'll have to let us know what you think of them, ADD, once you've had a look at them.

I would like to add that our site - Home Farm, Kewstoke - was reported as ‘Closed’ when in fact we became an Independent Site as we could no longer stick to the 5 van rule). The magazine printed we had shut, then the calls came in from people thinking we had closed. After having the CL site for 26 years, it would perhaps be more gentlemanly to have an additional column/heading for sites such as ourselves.

In addition to those two (near to our storage) we also have one in Derbyshire about 10 miles from home.
We used to stop at a CS just down the road from Ashleigh Farm which has now closed (the CS that is), so this could be a ready made replacement.

Finally getting around to updating my SD.
Went to delete the one at Weston-Super-Mare and the SD book just says "Turn to Page 152" What's that all about? Has W-S-M been Deleted User completely and replaced by Bromyard Downs? Eventually tracked it down to North Somerset.
I think someone has too much time on their hands at the printers.

You are not the only one we have encountered PW. Add your details onto UKcampsites, that’s what a lot of ex CLs do. I have opened a thread on small private camp sites, so post your details on there as well. I will try and add a link.....
Here’s the thread https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/club-together/discussions/sites-touring/uk-sites-touring/small-private-sites/

Hi Wherenext,
Well spotted, sorry about that mistake, i have added the site number and page number in the SD for this site in my original post.
I'll also highlight this error to the team who put the SD together so we can make sure it is corrected for the next SD.
Thanks
Maddie

Maddie following on from WN post...In the SD why is North Somerset listed under "N" and not "S" whereas each of the Yorkshire Ridings are consecutive, as in East, North, South, West, under "Y", and both East and West Sussex are consecutive under "S"?

Why is Somerset even split in two?

While you are explaining Geography to SD folks Maddie, there’s no such County as Bridgend Wales either, there’s just Bridgend, a town. I also note no Avon, just Bristol, another town.
Does Avon still exist? Or is it just Bristol? 😁

Ha, Avon is now defunct. 😁

Few of us are aware of council boundaries throughout the country but most of us could manage a county, more or less.

Sorry but you are wrong. Bridgend is a county these days see https://www.bridgend.gov.uk/ & https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_government_in_Wales#Preserved_counties_of_Wales

My sincere apologies, how wrong could I be!😁 Complicated these Welsh Counties. But the Bridgend CL sounds very nice, one to consider when next in area. 👍

Indeed they are complicated! And possibly not a county for much longer anyway if the WAG gets it's way, the post office haven't got the county I live in (Caerphilly) right yet following the last lot of changes .
The Bridgend CL is on my list to visit as soon as the opportunity arises, looks really nice.

Aadeeh, we still get post sent to Clwyd, which disappeared quite a few years ago. However I note our wonderful Senedd are still debating reducing the current counties into larger groups. Where will it ever end? No wonder those living outside Wales get confused when those living inside don't have much of a clue either.

Maddie, did you manage to get any meaningful response from the Site Directory editors for the strange configuration of certain "counties"?

Hi Nelliethehooker
I’ve forwarded to the team who produce the Sites Directory and Handbook and they are investigating why this has happened and will amend for the next edition.
Thank you to everyone who brought this to our attention.
Thanks
Maddie

Thanks Maddie. It's been strange for the last two editions of the SD at least.

Maddie - Thanks for this.
However I am a little confused by the listing for West Yorkshire - Hebden Bridge - Todmorden Cricket Club
It has reviews from 2014 and 2015, indicating to me that it is not 'new' as a CL.
Likewise, I have come across CL's listed in the Magazine as being 'New' but they already have reviews from years ago.
Thanks
Ted
