All, do any of you own the 8ft version Bucaneer? I am wondering if anybody owning this make has experienced the long front skylight leaking badly, over two pints of water leaked during our summer holiday.  Extra sealant was added for a temporary repair authorised by our dealer, unfortunately this wasn't successful.

On examination by our dealer the skylight framework is lower than the surrounding roof , which causes the water gather around the Framework and leaked into the caravan.

The water didn't' flow over the top of the rim.

I'm awaiting feedback from the dealer via Elddis/Buccaneer to find out the solution,. But  resealing is not the long-term answer

Any feedback from other Buccaneers owners would be much appreciated or any information from other websites

Regards

it sounds as though it needs to be taken out and refitted as it must be fitted badly.

Guy next to me on site has Elddis Avante 8' wide with this skylight. His is currently held together with gaffer tape awaiting repair. Seem to be a number of vans with issues of a similar nature.

Thats logic Wildwood ,,resealed a few vans , if there is enough good sealant you wont get any problems Abbotps , if its not very old throw the van back at them ..wish you all the best Derek
