Hi to all,

Just introducing ourselves and saying hello. We are new to the Club and relatively newbies to Motorhoming. We purchased our very first Motorhome back in November 2018 a 1990 Renault Trafic Holdsworth Ranger 4 berth, She is an old girl but has been very well looked after and will continue to be as long as We own Her.( I don,t know why I call her a Girl as haven,t named Her yet? ) and after doing extensive work to her internally and mechanically we are enjoying going away in her as much as We can. After researching various Clubs, We decided to join this one.

We have learned a lot since purchasing our first Motorhome, and still learning, so advice maybe needed in the future.

We have booked up our first site with this Club and head off tomorrow , hope the weather improves?

Regards

    Hi all.

I am very new to motor homing. Having only bought our 1987 fiat ducato autostratus last week. I have managed to get everything working which is all good. I have one question can. I use a dog play pen on sites?

Hi, Kev. Rather than speculate and guess at what might seem logical to me, I suggest you contact the club for a definitive answer. You could email Rowena, the Community Manager and I’m sure she would forward your enquiry to the appropriate person.

peskyrabbit - LV looks good as does the weather for most parts of the UK.  Would be interested to know what product you used on the front bumper, if it’s plastic, and is it lasting?.  Whatever I’ve tried soon fades. You will find lots of interesting posts/info on here & advice/help should you need it.  Enjoy your time away.

JO, try Boiled Linseed Oil, available from DIY shops. Lasts much longer than Back to Black Etc..... Do a patch test of course, somewhere unobtrusive.

Thats a lovely interesting MH peskybun! Looks in great condition as well. Wishing you lots of great tours. We would come over and say hello, always like to meet those with older outfits.😁

Thanks to everyone for the lovely welcome to the Club, Sorry for the late reply have been away in Banchory Aberdeenshire for 5 nights, weather was scorching, sometimes too hot, but sat in the shade with a cold beer and that seemed to help cool. Really enjoyed our stay and already looking forward to our next trip away.

In response to our black bumper, We are not sure what product was used as it was like this when We purchased the MH, on close inspection We think its been sprayed with stone guard, but cant be sure.

Ps is it possible to set up notifications of replies to these forums / discussions?

    Regards.

Yes - just click the "follow" tab at the top right before the first reply - but beware, you might end up wishing you hadn't  bothered!  wink
