Dome tent
Would it be frowned upon to stick a dome tent up instead of an Awning ? Asking for a friend .

A pup tent is allowed on a pitch but I suspect a dome tent would be considered too big.
What constitutes a pup tent? Anyone know?

And it’s a dome. 🦴

Last week, at Wharfedale, a guy behind us erected a gazebo where an awning would have been. Clearly the site staff saw it and must have said it was okay. If a gazebo is acceptable then I don't see the difference between that and a dome tent.

Yet we've been told on this forum via Rowena that gazebos are not allowed.🤔🤷🏻♂️

If it's any help I've found the info in Club Site Rules (regarding tents) see no 5 LINK
I think the word pup tent has now been dropped in favour of a tent which will fit on your pitch as long as the van is also occupied. We've certainly done this with our family where a small Vaude domed tent was used, the last time we did it we had torrential rain and the occupant and dog joined us in the van!

I also went through the rules and there's no specific mention of gazebos.

I've checked with my colleagues on the sites operations team and they have advised your friends can have a dome tent as long as it fits on the pitch within the fire breaks. Hope this helps.
