Head for Wells, then towards Shepton Mallet on the A371. Head south on the A37. Follow through to Yeovil then Dorchester and on towards your destination, see local routes for Hunters Moon from Dorchester.

As "brue" said follow the the clubs's routing, noting that coming from the west you are very well advised to follow the A35 at the Bere Regis roundabout, not  keep on the "main" road which there changes into the A31. That saves a great deal of dense traffic hassle.

Many thanks to you all, that was the way i was looking at  but several route planners including the caravan club were taking me onto the B3151 and Glastonbury.

I agree with brue having lived in Somerset for 25 years and we will be doing the same route later in the year. Enjoy your break.

There are alternatives but some are via narrow lanes etc or through several busier areas so I think you'll find this is the most straightforward. Have a safe journey. smile
