New pricing in handbook

There are some top bargains, but you have to want to do the right journey, at the right time, on the right day. I needed to be in Berwick upon Tweed one Wednesday morning by 9am, bingo! Ticket in quiet coach on the 6.05am from Doncaster cost me £8. Another time, another day it would cost £200 plus. Mind I did complain to taxi driver that it was costing me twice as much from home to Donny station than all the way to Berwick🤣
AD, I so wish that I had that particular retirement perk, I love train travel.

I have had visits to sites that I had booked before the November (was it?) increase and have several to go. In all cases when arriving the wardens didn't get out a paper with the old prices on and use a calculator to work out what the price I should be paying. They just looked it up on the screen in front of them. No fiddling (in the MM definition), no extended period of time, it was just there and they just asked for the price I had expected. It is not a big problem.

As long as it's the saddle you're flogging and not the horse!
Errrrr. .... what just happened? I thought I'd read a post from TtDA about flogging a worn in and much loved old saddle - where did that go? Has age caught up with me at last?

Previous page, M.
Relax, it’s nothing to do with age.😊

Whoa there old lad! You did read a post about a saddle. 😂😁 The horse passed away a good few years ago, but we have a few bits of memorabilia around. Keeping his bridle, but the saddle is going, too much money to have laid about up in attic.
I am on a roll at the moment selling stuff, good job the pooch is now gender neutral or he might have been earning his vet bills! 😲

I just printed off the booking email for our next visit, a 20p increase for an adult per night and 30p for the pitch per night (but that is a SP). Hardly the above inflation price rise people talk about?
I'll exhibit some maturity and just accept it I think.

Don’t forget though Corners, the prices went up in November, but were then hiked a second time to cover the underestimate for energy costs. I think that’s where some of the confusion lies.

yes, but I am basing my figures on the my bookings page and the original email so including both price rises it is still only 20/30p. Not a huge amount. To put it into context, the whole trip (19 nights) increase would not cover one of our weekly family visits to Costa

but you have said you couldn't verify that you could on a CCC site either?

I've check a booking I have for May 2020 and the my bookings prices and the prices on the site's webpage match exactly, so perhaps the system is correcting or is now correct?

actually I wasn't knocking the CCC I rarely do and even then it is about my own experiences with them,
Bt yes I had somehow thought it was a CCC site for some reason, apologies.
Either way my point still stands, you couldn't verify the price at this site.

Surely most will realise that it's just the starting price for the pitches in low season and there will be additional cost for each person, child(ren), dog(s), awnings, H/S, services etc won't they?

...a spring 2020 price is already on the price page at the 'increased 2020' price and this won't change before arrival ....will it?
I wouldn't be too sure about that, seeing how it's gone in the past with at least 2 rises in a 12 month period.

That's because most of those posting about it are so used to the "old" pricing statement, which included 2 adults.
