Hi I am thinking of buying a Kempa 260 Air Pro awning but I have an older caravan - which is a Bailey 470 Belmont 2000SE.

Does anybody know if you can use these awnings on older vans like mine.

Thank you.

I used a Bradcot air aspire 260 on our 2002  coachman.

I still have the awning which I intended to sell as I now have the 390 model and a much newer caravan.

We have the 330 size of the same awning and I would say yes. As long as your caravan has an awning rail, then it will fit. smile

Angel face. We have the Kamper air pro 260. Our van is a Coachman 380/2, year 2010. We are very satisfied with the awning. I know that this does not fully answer your question but I thought that I would put your mind at rest should you have been wondering about the awning itself.

The size of the awning rail channel is standard and any awning should fit any caravan.

Thank you all - my main concern is that on older vans (year 2000) like ours (it is in very fine condition) the awning rail is not dead straight. If you look at the more modern vans they all have a very straight roof and rail.

Whereas our vans roof and rail slopes slightly upwards from the front and then slightly backwards towards the rear of the van so there is always a curve.

From what I can gather you need a straight rail. And all the pictures showing the Kempa 260 Air Pro awning (and other sizes) attached to vans seem to be on a straight roofed modern style van.

That is why I wondered if anyone was using it on an older style outfit like ours.

    But thanks for replies folks
