Making a large mosquito screen for outside

I own a caravan with a Fiamma sunshade.

Having just returned from the South of France, and being bitten to death in the evenings, I am determined to still sit outside (we are going again in September, but to the woods this time)...and  thinking of making a "U" shaped screen that will fit around the front and sides of our sunshade, to top the mosquitos, but also allow ventilation.

Has anyone ever done this?

If so...how?

I don't think it is possible to keep the little devils out of an awning or a fly screen around a Fiamma.  They are attracted to lights and our soft northern European pale skinsfrown.  We use plenty of citronella candles, at low level,  and cover ourselves in 'Jungle Juice' repellant.

You could use a wind blocker but you would need to fill in a few gaps along the top at the sides and a skirt on the van.

Here is a photo of our Gemini windblocker on our motorhome.

I've got a set of wind blockers. Ok for wind but, as for mozzies, as much use as a colander.
