Replacing a microwave
Hi
I'm looking a bit of advice please. The microwave in my 2014 Swift Challenger 570 has failed. I have managed to find a replacement, and I thought it would be an easy job to do the swap myself. However I am finding the removal of the stainless steel surround on the old unit to be trickier than I had hoped. I can remove the two top screws, but the surround also seems to be secured at the bottom. However these bottom screws appear to be on the inside of the surround, and therefore impossible to access.
Has anyone else had any experience of this please?
Thanks
Steve

I don't know if you are a member of the Swift Talk forum but they might be able to help. I had to replace a micro wave in a Bailey Motorhome but that sounded like a completely different operation.

Time to take advantage of u-tube. There are a number of options to choose from starting with opening the oven door to reveal a couple of stickers covering the screws that secure a particular microwave.
there is probably one to help you.

Thanks for your post. You may well be correct. The top of the surround is definitely screwed to the adjacent cupboard walls, but the bottom may simply be slotted in. The problem is I cannot see clearly enough to tell. I given it a gentle pull and there seems to be a reasonable amount of resistance. The surround itself is quite flimsy and the last thing I want to do is force it and cause damage.
Thanks again
Steve
