How to replace Lunar Lexon microwave
The microwave in our Lunar Lexon 470/2 has just given up the ghost. I'd like to install a new one but can't work out how to get it out short of disassembling the whole overhead cabinet that it's mounted in.
Any ideas?

I had to replace the microwave in our Senator. If I remember right, the screws holding it in place were underneath. These screws weren’t directly into the microwave, but into a wooden frame that in turn was fixed to the microwave. Hope this helps.

depends on the year. Some later lunars had screws through hinges of adjacent locker door (one long screw through each of the hinges) which held the wooden facia on one side and the otherside was held by screws sideways in the roof locker.(possibly covered by self adhesive discs coloured to match the timber.)Remove the facia and a wood bar could be seen holding the microwave down 1 screw at each side.Hope this helps (I am talking from memory 3/4 years ago !)

Thanks very much, chaps or chapesses. I'll have another look at all the screws and remove one or two to see what happens. Fingers crossed.

As mentioned above, the fascia screws are in the hinges of the adjacent locker. We bought a simple Russell Hobbs RHMM701C 17L Manual 700w Solo Microwave Cream from Amazon. I had to do a bit of woodwork jiggery-pokery to raise it to present through the fascia. I used the same method to keep it secure and stop it from moving. It's great; does simple heating up jobs. Just what we wanted.
