Selling advice

Hello everyone, I hope I’m posting in the correct place and wondered if anyone could offer and advise/share their own experiences?  We’ve recently and sadly decided to sell our van, lots of little reasons that have all added up including we’ve become very restricted with towing, we just aren’t getting to use it much and now we’ve found some sponging around a window so suspect damp - probably because we’ve not being getting to it enough :(

Has anyone experienced using a quick We buy any caravan type site and are they trustworthy?

We have advertised privately but the van is stored over an hour from home so ease of using one of these companies is the main attraction.

We are terrified of being scammed and I do love our van, I’d like to see it go to a good home (if that doesn’t sound too soft!!)

Any tips/advise would be appreciated :)

Worth looking at the ads in the Club Mag that say they well take damp caravans.  I used them a few years ago as the dealer from whom I was buying wasn't interested and I was reluctant to sell privately.  I got a reasonable price I thought considering the extent of the damp and the age of the caravan.  Only advice I will give is to send them pics of the extent of the damp and be absolutely honest with them as they may try to lower their offer when they turn up saying that you did not explain how bad the damp was!  I stuck to my guns and as he had driven from the midlands he did not want to waste a trip.  They may well pay cash but do not let your caravan go without having received and cleared the payment.
