Heading over to Islay with a 7.5m motorhome in mid July. Never been to this island before. Wondering if any members have any tips/ideas.

We stayed at the lovely community site near Port Charlotte.  Plenty of room. If you want EHU might be best to book a pitch. http://islandofislay.co.uk/campsite.php

Easy cycling country. I did a nice route from the site via Machir Bay to Kilchoman Distillery (an unique farm distillery) where I met up with my wife who had cycled down the main road. Had a coffee and bought some whisky.  Plenty more of that to choose from on the island.

We also biked to the RSPB reserve and spotted the choughs flying, caught the bus to Portnahaven for a walk and also a bike circuit to the same place via the minor road.  Lots of birdlife and an interesting museum in Port Charlotte. And drivers wave at you.

There's more info on the website above and also here: https://www.islayinfo.com
