South East locations
Hi all,
As part of my job I look after customers all over the UK. In July I will need to visit a load of clients that are based in the south east,
Locations such as Littlehampton, Crawley, Slough, Kent, Dartford, Ashford, Canterbury.. (To name a few)
As I am from Staffordshire it would be a logistical nightmare for me to commute to all of these locations and would take me forever...So I have a cunning plan!
Why don't I base myself (and the Missus/dog) down on the coast somewhere with the Caravan and travel from there?
Good idea right?
So, as I have never travelled to the south east with the caravan I am hoping some of you kind people could point me in the direction of some nice caravan parks we could visit?
Ideally looking for somewhere serviced by the coast.
Thanks guys,

Thanks for stating the obvious Yes I have looked and will continue to look, but just wondered if there were any special recommendations. I'm new to caravanning and didn't want to miss somewhere that is a "Must visit".
Very kind of you for replying anyway.

Those are covering quite a distance, with the busy roads down there, you might want to consider 2 different locations if you are sensibly able to group together dates for visits to customers in 2 different areas.
Not all CAMC sites have serviced pitches so if that is what you need then that will cut down your choice.
Have you considered CLs too?

Out of the 2 sites that serve Ashford and Canterbury I prefer the one at Hayle. C&CC have a site at Canterbury.
If you are looking to stay longer than the 21 days allowed on CAMC sites then you might consider CLs (Certified Locations) These allow you to stay 28 days.
Not stayed at any of your other areas.

Littlehampton CAMC site has serviced pitches, is on the coast, has a great fish & chip shop, Freds.
There are CAMC sites at Brighton and Gatwick that would assist you with Kent. Crawley / Dartford etc as daily run out as you would be going against traffic.
Henley Four Oaks would serve Slough
Best get checking availability for July using the tools on here.

I've been to littlehampton CMHC and Canterbury DVD sites a few times, litlehampton has serviced pitches, near supermarket and dog friendly pebbly beaches, the on-site dog walk is very small more of a quick trip for a dog wee than an actual walk for More than 10 minutes. The Canterbury site is 5 minutes into Canterbury which is a much larger town and more for your wife to do when your out working. The site itself has much more room at least double the size of littlehampton, and the pitches are larger, but no service pitches.
both sites bathroom fscilites, laundry etc. are much the same. Both have playgrounds so have families stay. I like both but for a long term location there is more to do in canterbury, but if you want a serviced pitch you'd need littlehampton. perhaps all these pitches are already booked for summer? Good luck in your choice, it's lovely part of the world

Can’t help with sites as we are no facilities people but we would recommend the area . Lots to do and see. Look out for traffic though. One word of warning is that some sites are licensed for leisure use and going to work might be frowned on. Hasten to add that we have done what you are proposing. My employer was happy to pay site fees even for a few days longer than needed because it was less than hotels. Think about a 4g mobile router so you can do any IT work without relying on site WiFi.

hi
from the areas that you have said you could look at 3 site all caravan club site two of which I have stayed at Littlehampton not far from beaches and is serviced pitches. We enjoy our stay there. Daleacres is brilliant we have been there for the last for years with our dog and grandchildren . as I don't live far from breasted I have never stayed there but lovely place to stay with dog walks in the area, and I can recommend the local pub the oak on the green lovely food but I don't know if its dog friendly. I think these sites would cover most of the area you want to work in.
