Catching ferry from Portsmouth on a Sunday evening.  CL sites about 1hr to 1.30mins away from ferry . Any good sites that anyone could recommend? Thanks

Not sure why you want a CL at all. If your ferry leaves in the evening you can just drive to the port and go on board.

Perhaps they are having to drive a long distance to get there and want a rest before driving "over there" after getting g off the ferry.

I am sorry that I am not answering your question because I don't know the answer but I wonder if it makes a difference to know that you can arrive at the port any time after 5pm and wait on the dock.

Carefree Nurseries. About 30 minutes from Portsmouth Ferry port. Used them a few times for the evening ferry. Nice CL.

A couple of years ago we stayed at Valesmoor Farm (number630 in SD) as we were visiting relatives in Christchurch and had an easy motor to Portsmouth. With havng an hour or hour and a half you could have a very wide area stretching from Chichester up to Winchester to Southampton. Not sure where you are heading from so don't know which side of the country to recommend a CL in.

The CL I mentioned above served us fine.

Club site at Rookesbury Park by Wickham has Ferry pitches.  You have to ring the site to book one

I've noticed quite a few motorhomes overnighting at the car park at Port Solent recently. Watch out for the sleeping policemen if you value your crockery!
