    I think someone was looking for the club site rules earlier on. They're HERE

    There is a small section about "behaviour on site" which states:

    "Please make sure you and anyone staying with you respect the comfort and convenience of other site users."

    I think that sums up what is required to make a stay on site as pleasant as possible for all of us.

    Maybe all the pitches should be enclosed by by fencing with only access to the pitch "area" by key lock wink

    Evening Folks

    Interesting reading this thread as it comes up a lot during conversations on site. Funny though it's never a cause of complaint?  My simple answer is, if someone is as you see it trespassing on your pitch, tell them so. If they fail to understand then speak to the site staff and we will try and placate everyone. It's understandably annoying if you're pitched on a "short route" to the block or whatever, but excuse me if I'm in the dark ages but our pastime is surely about meeting and actually talking to folks you meet on site. Hey, someone walking across your pitch might jiust be that new friend you've yet to meet!laughing

    If they are so ignorant as to walk as close as OP said then I have no wish for them to become "my new friend" thank you very much!

    They usually mention the 5mph speed limit on site. Not everyone takes notice of that, so I don't think it would be particularly effective.

    We stayed at Tewkesbury over Easter, when we arrived we had a choice of 4 services pitches.  The warden did say "that pitch we have problems with people walking through"  we choose to use it and sure enough within 10 minutes of setting up two people had walked directly across it, I waited for them to come back and sure enough they walked across the pitch again so I opened the door holding tightly to our English Bull Terrier who is so excited to go out and meet new people.  A polite, "would you mind not walking across the pitch as I can't guarantee the dog will not jump up you" worked a treat.  Was slightly amused at the once comment of "sorry I am new to this"

    It seems good manners are a thing of the past for some people

    yes there are people who want to meet new friends and also there people who like to keep to themselves. I think the no-mans land of the site roads and 'public' areas are great for the former (judging by the laughter from the dish washing area) while a person's pitch is where you could be expected to be left alone if you wanted? Although I like a cheery hello if I'm sitting out.

    Spot on - nothing more annoying than sitting watching tv or having dinner and someone appears as the side window and inevitably has a look in - once stopped someone who informed me it was an accepted shortcut - not when I'm pitched there it ain't!!

    Also had kids riding bikes between car and van and/or awning risking damage to either and the kid when my boot connects with them!

    We have had that happen to us as well.  One hot summer day we had taken down the awning sides and we were on a corner pitch, we had one walk diagonally through from side to front, and even had a kid on a bike ride through.  Annoying, but also quite funny in a way, when we shouted at the offenders and they looked like startled pigeons  as if they had not realised what they had done.

    Only this week, new arrival on site went to the toilet block, walked across my pitch almost tripping over our shoes outside.  Wife challenged him and he just replied ..... off and get a life😡

    i used to be ginger for a reason, so a visit to his unit ensued and turns out he’s an angry chap.  Felt sorry for his partner.

    Maybe that's why you see so many folk with the wall of windbreaks all the way round their pitch, next they will hang signs 'keep off' 

    Only place we have had it was at Lady Margarets, Chirk its pretty much unavoidable on some pitches.

    Its quite common abroad on some sites to find folk wandering across your pitch, they find it amusing if you object.

    One of the reason I always view the Site plan and pick an area away from facilities, playground, dog walk etc and on the outer boundary of the site then there is no reason for anyone to walk through the pitch

    It's nothing new. Some 40 years ago when camping in small tents in Switzerland, we were woken at 04:00 by multiple folk (not English by the curses😂) falling over our guy ropes in the dark, whilst taking a short cut to their early morning coach.

    the site we were at this week was a large one, however the main touring area for the pitches that we were on were split up into groups of 8 pitches, hedged off from other 8 pitch sections...

    no intruders cutting through and a bit like being on a CL (albeit with facilities (pool, restaurant, bar, fab washrooms etc) on the doorstep)...sort of best of both words. nice.

    There's LOADS of room here on this CL 😁😁😁 and no need to walk anywhere near my neighbours unless we socialise with them 😊

    well. we got no intruders, I felt the site design had a lot to do with it.....

    perfect? if you like, it was certainly peaceful despite the size of the site but we knew that as we'd been there beforesmile

    If it was mentioned it would go strait over most people's heads ,as even if it is put in the site handouts,members will still ask when on site for information that was said to them or in the handouts surprised

    Then a "review?"of a cl a couple of days ago complained there was no room cool
