Camp Europe Spares and Parts bought out by Hartley

Has anybody done business with ES Hartleys Leisure Ltd in Chorley. They are claiming g to have bought all parts from Europe Camp Spares that stopped trading last year. I like many others did not receive paid for products from this company. I've received an email from ES Hartley saying they now own the stock and can sell me the part I need. However they can only take payment over the phone and are unable to send me a photo of the part as they don't have their mobile phone on them. Given my previous experience I hope you can understand my apprehension. Would be grateful if any can throw any light on this company to reassure me before making a purchase. Thanks in anticipation.

Never heard of them but you could Google them to see if there is anything there.

Not clear what you want or the cost but if over 100 pounds using a credit card is the safest thing.

I know ES Hartley Leisure Spares Ltd have been making contact with certain organisations to say they have bought the stock previously held by Camp Europe but have no responsibility for any liabilities.

I lifted the following contact details from another forum. I’m not sure if it helps.

I draw no conclusions from this as it could be completely coincidental but check out the names of the director(s) of Camp Europe Ltd, first link, and those of ES Hartley Ltd, second link, and ES Hartley Leisure Ltd, third link.

It’s wiser not to make any assumptions but to simply view the information at face value.

Just put address that Tin gave into google earth and looks like rented offices only, doesn't look like a warehouse full of spare parts. frown

What’s the problem with having an office address?

I'm not defending anyone here but we should be careful of pointing the finger. My aim was to help the OP, nothing more.

Doesn't even look like offices. Google Earth shows a row of terraced houses.

Railway House, Railway Road, Chorley is a modern office block divided into office suites. If you do an internet search you can find a picture of it and the vacant office suites available to rent.

If this question had been raised yesterday morning I could have visited the site as we went to Chorley to visit the still very good street market which is less than half a mile from the location of Railway House. Unfortunately we may not be back in Chorley for a few weeks.
