I have a Bailey brindisi which has the battery below the floor under the bed, anybody any ideas on how to connect the solar panel to the battery please? I currently leave the locker door ajar to feed the lead through which isn't ideal. Thanks.

I presume you have a freestanding solar panel with a built in regulator. Why not fit something like this .

    12v waterproof socket

What version of the Brindisi do you have.  Because according to the manual the Pegasus IV as an external connection for a solar panel.

We have the Pegasus iv Genoa and have run a lead from the batt box to a seven pin caravan socket on the nearside clipped to the chassis with cable ties ,and a seven pin plug on the solar panel lead (both from might need boxwink

    Battery Box Connections
The Pegasus IV range is fitted with a 12v external solar panel connection point. This can be found under the caravan mains inlet inside the battery box.

The above is copied  directly from the online version of what Bailey laughably call the owners manual, more adverts than a camc magazine undecided.   I will be the first to admit I don’t know much about Baileys products.  The question is do Bailey know anything either? surprised

Thanks all, Boff I agree I cannot see an external connection point. Need to have a good look and think what's going to be best, 1 thing I know the next van won't have the battery box under the floor of the van.

There must be a permanent live connection elsewhere in the caravan that you can use to connect your panel to ... where are all the fuses?
