Space saver spare tyres - ok to tow

Hi All, I'm close to buying a 2016 Kia Sportage 2.0 CRDi KX-3 Auto. Kerbweight etc is fine, and it has Euro 6 Specification and therefore satisfies my beloved mayor's criteria. However, it has a space saver spare tyre. If I am unfortunate enough to get a flat while towing, would the space saver be safe to carry on my journey until I can get the tyre changed? Thank you.

Kia would be the best people to ask 😉  when I asked Mercedes the same question re my 'flat' spare wheel/tyre, the answer was yes.

I would imagine so. You'd be taking it easy with a space saver even without a caravan.

Normally there are no restrictions on the use of a space saver when towing as it's only for use in an emergency anyway and it must be suitable for a fully laden car that's not towing, too. As the maximum allowable tyre load is the same whether towing or not, it wouldn't be logical to prohibit use of a space saver regardless.
