Black streaks
I would like to hear what other members do to prevent the black streaks you get on your vans, just tried the stuff from Aldi but it didn’t touch it, is it better to cover your caravan over winter to stop it happening

Think you'll find Silky cleaner is best on the market for removing black streaks.

Morning
I've found the best way to prevent black streaks is to install an awning rail strip sold by the meter, available from dealers. It's a two inch (ish) strip that slides in the rail (as the awning does). I've never had straks in the six years I've used them. My van is stored outside over winter and all I do is a quick wash over before I set up for the season.

When I start getting black streaks on the side of the caravan, it’s normally a good sign to clean the roof. I also use the awning strips when at home but that doesn’t stop the front and back getting them.

If only they were blue streaks then all we'd have to do is cancel them.

I use Autoglym’s High Definition wax. Not only does it remove black streaks in a flash, it also resists them reforming. Once you have uses HD Wax it is much easier to remove them anyway. It’s not cheap but it lasts for ever as you need very little to polish your car or caravan and the finish is silky smooth and beautiful!!
