When we had a motorhome we got an A-Frame from Armitage Trailers near Leeds to tow our Peugeot 107 behind our van. They were very good we left the car with them for a few hours and they done the conversion so the car lights ect worked when hooked up to the motorhome. The quality of work was excellent and the A-Frame was built to a good quality.

A word of warning though, they are generally not regarded as legal on the continent.

     or by some insurance companies.frown

We also have an A frame from Armitages, no longer in use. Would agree though about the quality and workmanship.

One of our friends has one, but does say that the front tyres on the towed car do wear out at quite low mileages surprised

Hi pj35,,I have towed with an 'A' frame supplied by "Car A Tow " in Poole Dorset .My M/home was an 'Autocruise Sunningdale',the car was a Smart42 pure ,with all electrics and breaking connected ,and a hazard board connected to the car rear .I had no experience of tyre wear .Despite a lot of people saying that it's not possible to reverse ,i found that with a pair of 'bungee's ' around the steering wheel spokes ,clipped under the seat frame ,,It IS possible to reverse any turns or straight lines easily, just as ANY trailer or C/van.

    Good luck ,and enjoy  !!
